Celebrating the 10th anniversary of Advanced Science and the 5th anniversary of VIEW, the Advanced Science/VIEW Symposium: Advances in Biomedical Research And 2nd International Symposium on Materiobiology took place in Shanghai on 13-14 July 2024.
The conference brought together leading scientists and scholars from around the globe to discuss the latest research advancements and future trends in biomaterials science.
Highlights from the Symposium
Opening Ceremony and Journal Impact Factor Announcement
At the opening ceremony, it was announced that VIEW’s 2023 impact factor reached 9.7, marking continuous growth from 8.6 in 2022 and placing it in the Q1 region for biomaterials and nanoscience.
Keynote Speakers
Esteemed speakers included:
- Nicholas A. Peppas, member of the American Academy of Engineering and the University of Texas at Austin
- Academician Changsheng Liu from Shanghai University
- Buddy Ratner, a member of the American Academy of Engineering and professor of chemical engineering at the University of Washington
- Academician Chen Zhinan from the Air Force Medical University
- Kam W. Leong, a member of the U.S. Academy of Engineering and professor of biomedical engineering at Columbia University
- Bin Liu, National Academy of Engineering, National University of Singapore
- Professor Zheng Songguo from Songjiang District Science and Technology Association of Shanghai
On 14 July, the symposium featured eight concurrent sessions covering a wide range of topics, including nanomedicine and diagnosis, disease mechanism and pathophysiology, materials biology and regenerative medicine, emerging technologies in biomedical research, immune cells and therapeutics, translational medicine, cutting-edge advances in experimental medicine, and a Youth Symposium. These sessions provided a dynamic platform for participants to exchange ideas and foster collaborations.
