Roche Diagnostics’ Elecsys Gastrin 17 Test Approved in China
Roche Diagnostics has announced the approval of Elecsys Gastrin 17 (Elecsys G17), a localized innovation developed specifically for the Chinese market. Designed, developed and manufactured for China, Elecsys G17 is intended for the quantitative in vitro measurement of gastrin-17 (G17) in human serum and plasma, supporting the diagnosis of atrophic gastritis.
The new test joins Elecsys PGI and Elecsys PGII, which were introduced in China last year. Together, the three assays form Roche Diagnostics’ comprehensive “gastric function panel,” marking the company’s establishment of an integrated product portfolio for gastric function testing. The portfolio is expected to further support precision risk management, early detection and early intervention for populations at high risk of gastric cancer in China.
Autobio and Comen Medical Sign Strategic Cooperation Agreement

On August 30, Autobio Diagnostics and Comen Medical signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Shenzhen. Leveraging their respective strengths in products, distribution channels, market development and services, the two companies will work together to build integrated diagnostic and treatment capabilities for healthcare institutions across different levels in China and international markets. The partnership is also expected to support the expansion of both companies into domestic and overseas healthcare markets and enhance their overall competitiveness.
The chairman of Autobio noted that the advantages of individual products are increasingly insufficient to meet healthcare institutions’ demand for comprehensive solutions across a broad range of clinical scenarios. Comen Medical has long focused on four core areas—life support, ultrasound imaging, electronic endoscopy and in vitro diagnostics—with extensive experience serving clinical needs across hospitals at different levels. The two companies hope to use the strategic partnership as an opportunity to deepen multidimensional collaboration, enable greater resource sharing and complement each other’s capabilities.

Through these initiatives, the partnership aims to improve laboratory medicine capabilities and primary healthcare services in East Africa, while providing Wondfo Biotech with long-term talent and technical support for the development of its localized services in Africa.
Mirxes Partners with GAIA Health to Expand Precision Medicine in the Philippines

Mirxes (SGX: MRX; 2629.HK), through its clinical diagnostic laboratory M Diagnostics Philippines Inc., has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Philippine-based healthcare company GAIA Health and Wellness Company.
The partnership will focus on bringing evidence-based early cancer detection and clinical genomics services to the Philippines, marking another substantive step forward in Mirxes’ Southeast Asia expansion strategy. They also plan to launch a joint health initiative to promote evidence-based approaches to early screening and conduct local validation of innovative diagnostic programs related to aging and longevity. Leveraging Mirxes’ proprietary RNA liquid biopsy technology, the collaboration aims to provide precision early-detection solutions for cancers with a high incidence in the Philippines and across Southeast Asia, including gastric cancer, while strengthening regional capabilities in comprehensive cancer prevention and control.
3DMed Diagnostics and Bioperfectus Eenter into Strategic Partnership

Jiangsu Bioperfectus Technologies Co., Ltd. and 3DMed Diagnostics entered into a strategic partnership. The collaboration will focus on 3DMed Diagnostics’ independently developed automated nucleic acid testing and analysis system, ANDiS 7100, with the two companies set to deepen cooperation in reagent compatibility, channel expansion and technical services.
The partnership aims to accelerate the large-scale adoption of the integrated platform across high-frequency application scenarios, including infectious diseases, maternal and child health, and public health. The ANDiS 7100 recently received China’s NMPA Class III medical device registration approval (NMPA registration No. 20263221726).
