Mr. Joel Saurina opened the discussions with an overview of Switzerland’s trade and investment strategies in China. Prof. Haibo Song followed, highlighting the impressive growth and internationalization of China’s IVD industry, noting the shift towards the global concept, “In China, for the World.” He explained how Chinese IVD companies are embracing this vision by expanding internationally, driven by enhanced quality, innovation, and competitiveness. Chinese IVD brands are now increasingly recognized globally, with hospitals and laboratories adopting Chinese diagnostic products due to their quality, affordability, and advanced technology. Prof. Song welcomed Swiss companies to enter the Chinese market, emphasizing opportunities for mutual growth, fair competition, and raising standards in quality and service.

Mr. Nicolas Panzer echoed these sentiments, expressing his support for China’s global strategy and stressing that innovation is crucial for the IVD industry’s sustainable development. He emphasized Switzerland’s interest in strengthening collaborations with Chinese companies, sharing expertise, and advancing new technologies in diagnostics.

This meeting laid a strong foundation for deepening Sino-Swiss cooperation in the IVD sector. Both parties look forward to continued collaboration, fostering innovation, technology exchange, and market expansion to contribute to global healthcare improvements.
