Thermo Fisher Scientific Appoints Dan Rosen as China President
Thermo Fisher Scientific has named Dan Rosen as its new China President, succeeding Miguel Faustino. Rosen, currently VP and GM for Southeast Asia, will transition over the coming months and work closely with Faustino in Q4 to ensure a smooth handover. Faustino will return to the U.S. for another leadership role.
Rosen joined Thermo Fisher in 2017 and has held multiple leadership roles across strategy, bioprocessing, and regional operations. He holds a BA from Brown and an MBA from Dartmouth's Tuck School, and will relocate to Shanghai with his family.

Medcaptain Passes Hong Kong IPO Hearing
Medcaptain Medical Technology Co.,Ltd. has passed the HKEX listing hearing and published its post-hearing information pack, with Morgan Stanley and Huatai International as joint sponsors.
Founded in April 2011 and renamed in 2013, the company was reincorporated as a joint-stock company in 2020. Since 2016, Medcaptain has raised approximately RMB 2.259 billion across Series A, B, C, and E rounds, reaching a post-money valuation of RMB 8.2 billion in 2023. Investors include Hillhouse Capital, Shenzhen Capital Group, and others. The company filed its IPO in September 2025 and received CSRC approval in March 2026, planning to issue up to 191.5 million H-shares and initiate full circulation of over 440 million existing shares.
Suzhou Municipal Hospital and MGI Establish DCS Lab for Gut Microbiome Research
Suzhou Municipal Hospital and MGI have signed a strategic cooperation agreement and unveiled the "Suzhou Municipal Hospital – MGI DCS Lab Frontier Laboratory" at the hospital's Taihu Campus. The Suzhou Key Laboratory for Gut Microbiome in Major Diseases was also launched on the same day.
The partnership combines the hospital's deep expertise in gut microbiome research, biobank resources, and clinical data capabilities with MGI's proprietary multi-omics tools. The collaboration aims to advance clinical translation in gut microbiome and multi-omics research. The newly established key laboratory focuses on microbiome remodeling and disease intervention, particularly in fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) standardization and intelligent transformation. It operates a localized closed-loop system for microbiome preparation and multi-omics analysis.
