Roche Diagnostics China and HANKO Medical Enter Strategic Partnership
On August 6, Roche Diagnostics China and Ningbo HANKO Medical Devices Co., Ltd. officially entered into a strategic partnership in Shanghai. The two companies will jointly advance the localization of arterial blood sampling devices in China. Arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis is an essential diagnostic and monitoring tool in the management of critically ill patients, emergency care, and the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory diseases. As a critical component of pre-analytical quality management in ABG testing, arterial blood gas sampling devices play a vital role in the “first mile” of specimen collection, transportation, and pre-processing. Through resource sharing and joint value creation, the partnership aims to develop more comprehensive blood gas testing solutions for critically ill patients and healthcare institutions in China, while supporting the high-quality development of medical services.
SinoBio and Shanghai Jiangcuo Complete Acquisition, Strengthening the R&D-to-Clinical Application Chain
On August 5, Hong Kong-listed China Bio-Tech Holdings Limited (08247.HK) announced that, as an investor, it will acquire approximately 70.3% of the equity interest in Shanghai Jiangcuo Technology Co., Ltd. through a combination of an equity acquisition and capital increase.

Illumina Launches MiSeq i100 Series-CN in China
On August 6, Illumina announced the official launch of the MiSeq™ i100 Series-CN in China. The first batch of locally manufactured systems, produced at Illumina China’s manufacturing facility, has recently been delivered to customers.
The launch marks another important step in Illumina’s continued efforts to strengthen its localized manufacturing capabilities in China. Built to Illumina’s globally consistent quality standards, the MiSeq i100 Series-CN is designed to provide products and services that are more closely aligned with the needs of the Chinese market, supporting the expanding sequencing applications of local customers across research, public health and biopharmaceuticals.
Since its initial launch, the MiSeq i100 Series has been widely used in applications including pathogen surveillance and tracing, microbiome research and immune repertoire analysis. It serves a diverse range of users, including disease control and prevention agencies, customs authorities and research institutions.
Mindray and Shanghai Huashan Hospital Launch Strategic Partnership
On August 6, Fudan University Shanghai Huashan Hospital and Mindray Medical signed a strategic cooperation agreement at Mindray’s headquarters in Shenzhen.

The hospital handles more than 6 million outpatient and emergency visits annually, with nearly 200,000 discharged patients and more than 100,000 surgeries each year.

Sansure Biotech Secures Five CE IVDR Certifications Across Respiratory, Cervical Cancer and Blood-Borne Infections
Sansure Biotech recently announced that five of its independently developed nucleic acid testing products have successfully passed the European Union’s rigorous regulatory review and obtained CE IVDR certification.
The five products cover three major application areas: respiratory infections, cervical cancer and blood-borne infections, forming a high-end product portfolio spanning both Class C (high risk) and Class D (highest risk) under the EU In Vitro Diagnostic Medical Device Regulation (IVDR). Among them, three products for blood-borne infection testing—including assays for Human Immunodeficiency Virus Type 1 (HIV-1), Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) and Hepatitis C Virus (HCV)—have each become the first products of their respective categories developed in China to receive Class D IVDR certification.
The certifications mark a significant milestone for Sansure Biotech, demonstrating its ability to meet international standards for IVD products in the highest-risk regulatory category and further strengthening its internationalization and global market competitiveness.
