WEGO Life Science and Pakistan’s LDS Sign Local Manufacturing Agreement to Advance IVD Collaboration

WEGO Life Science has signed a localisation production agreement with Pakistan-based Lab Diagnostic Systems (LDS), marking a shift from product export to local industrial collaboration in the South Asian market. Under the partnership, both parties will jointly develop local manufacturing capabilities for IVD blood collection consumables, diagnostic reagents, equipment, and related medical consumables, with phased implementation based on local market needs and regulatory requirements. Leveraging WEGO’s expertise in IVD manufacturing and LDS’s local production capabilities, compliance experience, and distribution network, the collaboration aims to enhance supply efficiency, strengthen technical support, and deliver diagnostic solutions better suited to Pakistan’s healthcare needs. The partnership also represents WEGO’s broader globalisation strategy, using Pakistan as a strategic hub to expand its presence across South Asia and build sustainable overseas manufacturing and service capabilities.
YHLO and Peking University Launch Beijing Key Laboratory for Viral Disease Diagnostic Innovation

YHLO and Peking University have jointly launched the Beijing Key Laboratory for Immunological and Molecular Diagnostic Technology Research and Translation of Major Viral Infectious Diseases, marking a new milestone in industry-academia collaboration. Building on the existing Peking University–YHLO Joint Laboratory established in 2021, the new platform will integrate academic research, industrial development, and clinical resources to advance precision diagnostics for viral diseases. The laboratory will focus on chronic hepatitis diagnosis, rapid detection of emerging viral infections, and standardised translation of diagnostic technologies, aiming to accelerate the development and commercialisation of innovative IVD solutions. Through continued collaboration in research, clinical validation, and technology transfer, YHLO and Peking University seek to strengthen China’s capabilities in infectious disease prevention and develop globally competitive diagnostic products.
URIT Joins IFCC, Strengthening Global Collaboration in Clinical Diagnostics

URIT has officially become a corporate member of the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (IFCC), marking another milestone in its globalisation strategy following its membership in the International Council for Standardization in Haematology (ICSH). With recognition from two leading international laboratory medicine organisations, URIT has further expanded its global collaboration network across haematology, clinical chemistry, urinalysis, immunoassay, and POCT. The IFCC membership will enable URIT to engage more deeply with international clinical communities, participate in global industry exchange, and integrate its IVD innovation, manufacturing capabilities, and clinical practices into the international laboratory medicine ecosystem. Built on its long-term commitment to standardisation, URIT has established a complete traceability system covering instruments, reagents, calibrators, and quality controls, supporting reliable and comparable diagnostic results worldwide.
MGI and Wuliangye Technology Partner to Explore Consumer Genomics and Smart Multi-Omics Platforms

MGI has entered into a strategic partnership with Wuliangye Technology to jointly explore biotechnology development, smart multi-omics laboratory platforms, and consumer genetic testing applications. The collaboration will leverage MGI’s portable gene testing platform Yinjian, based on its proprietary micro-sequencing technology, to accelerate the development of accessible and intelligent health testing solutions. As a handheld genetic testing platform integrating DNBSEQ sequencing technology and AI-driven analysis, Yinjian enables simple, rapid, and user-friendly testing without specialised equipment or professional support. Through joint efforts in platform expansion, microbial resource development, and customised laboratory solutions, the partnership aims to transform consumer genomics from individual testing products into a broader health management ecosystem, bringing precision biotechnology into everyday life.
Haier Biomedical and Adicon Sign Strategic Partnership to Advance Digital Smart Laboratory Ecosystem
