Maccura and HUAWEI Partner on Smart Laboratory Development

On July 8, Maccura Biotechnology and Huawei Technologies signed a strategic cooperation agreement to advance smart laboratory development and digital transformation in in vitro diagnostics (IVD). The partnership will focus on AI-powered laboratories, intelligent manufacturing, a unified global cloud platform, and HarmonyOS-enabled IVD devices.
By combining Huawei's AI computing technologies with Maccura's automated diagnostic platforms, the companies aim to develop intelligent laboratory solutions that improve operational efficiency and clinical decision-making. The collaboration also supports Maccura's global cloud strategy and the adoption of next-generation smart laboratory technologies.
Sansure and Qingfeng Kerui Form Strategic Partnership

On July 8, Sansure Biotech signed a strategic cooperation agreement with innovative pharmaceutical company Qingfeng Kerui in Shanghai to promote integrated diagnosis and treatment. The partnership will focus on community clinics and influenza health stations, combining precision diagnostics, innovative medicines, and follow-up services to create a comprehensive care model covering testing, treatment, and monitoring. Sansure also plans to strengthen its integrated healthcare ecosystem by expanding smart diagnostic services and collaborating with digital partners, including Tencent Health, to integrate AI-powered health management into primary healthcare.
Liferiver’s Ebola Test Kit Added to WHO Emergency Use List

Shanghai Liferiver Bio-Tech announced that its Ebola Virus Nucleic Acid Detection Kit (Fluorescent PCR Method) has been added to the World Health Organization (WHO) Emergency Use List (EUL), effective July 2, 2026. The kit detects Bundibugyo ebolavirus, a cause of Ebola virus disease. WHO EUL listing recognizes the product's quality and performance while providing an important reference for procurement by WHO member states and international organizations. The approval is expected to support the global promotion and commercialization of Liferiver's Ebola diagnostic products.
Hotgen and Peking University Joint Laboratory Approved as Beijing Key Laboratory
Hotgen Biotech announced that its jointly established laboratory with Peking University's School of Basic Medical Sciences has been officially recognized as a Beijing Key Laboratory. The facility will focus on immune and molecular diagnostic technologies for major viral infectious diseases, including chronic hepatitis and emerging viruses, while advancing research, technology development, and commercialization. The approval follows the company's earlier recognition of a second Beijing Key Laboratory dedicated to cardiovascular antibodies and innovative biologics, further strengthening Hotgen's dual strategy in infectious disease diagnostics and innovative drug development.
NanoMicro Forecasts Strong Growth for First Half of 2026

On July 8, NanoMicro Technology released its earnings forecast for the first half of 2026, projecting strong growth in both revenue and profit. The company expects revenue to reach RMB 558–572 million, representing a year-on-year increase of 35%–38%. Net profit attributable to shareholders is forecast at RMB 128–150 million, up 102%–137% from the same period last year. Net profit excluding non-recurring gains and losses is expected to total RMB 120–140 million, reflecting year-on-year growth of 117%–153%, according to the company's preliminary financial estimates.
