Roche’s Largest Investment in China Breaks Ground with Initial Funding of RMB 3 Billion
Recently, Roche Diagnostics (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. successfully obtained the construction permit for its new project in Suzhou Industrial Park, marking the official start of main structural engineering. This milestone not only signifies Roche Diagnostics’ further expansion in China but also injects new momentum into the medical device industry.
According to reports, the Suzhou project represents Roche Diagnostics’ largest single investment in China to date, with an initial funding of RMB 3 billion (approx. CHF 383 million). This underscores Roche’s long-term commitment to the Chinese market.
Roche’s Mass Spectrometry Solution Officially Approved, Set to Launch at Ruijin Hainan Hospital Affiliated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine
Recently, Roche Diagnostics’ fully automated mass spectrometry solution was officially approved by the Hainan Provincial Medical Products Administration as a clinically urgent medical device and is set to be implemented at Ruijin Hainan Hospital (Hainan Boao Research Hospital) affiliated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. This marks another major milestone for Roche Diagnostics in the field of innovative technology applications. By introducing fully automated, integrated, and standardized mass spectrometry testing into routine laboratory workflows, this advancement is poised to bring transformative changes to clinical diagnostics and is expected to lead the in vitro diagnostics (IVD) industry toward a qualitative leap forward.
Mindray × Capricobio Joint Solution Launches in Iraq, Cutting Costs by 30%
A landmark achievement in the overseas strategic partnership between Mindray (a global leader in medical devices) and Capricobio (a leading Chinese flow cytometry antibody provider) has been realized—the first batch of their jointly developed high-end flow cytometry antibody testing solution has been successfully delivered to Iraq.
This breakthrough not only signifies the deep-rooted presence of China’s independently innovative flow cytometry technology in the Middle Eastern healthcare market but also highlights the strong global competitiveness of "IVD Made in China." The solution will provide standardized technical support for tumor diagnosis, immunology research, and infectious disease control in Iraq and surrounding regions.
Mindray's North America Facility Expansion to Open in 2026
On June 17, Mindray North America commenced a major warehouse expansion in Mahwah, New Jersey. At the groundbreaking ceremony, Wayne Quinn, President of Mindray North America, alongside Mahwah Mayor Jim Wysocki and Mindray’s executive team, celebrated the launch of this significant project. The expansion will add 46,314 square feet to the existing warehouse, bringing the total space to 80,979 square feet. This upgrade will not only enhance operational efficiency but also lay the foundation for sustainable long-term growth over the next decade.
