Labcorp Acquires Select Assets of North Mississippi Health Services’ Ambulatory Outreach Laboratory Business

Labcorp (NYSE: LH), a global leader of innovative and comprehensive laboratory services, and North Mississippi Health Services announced today that Labcorp has completed its acquisition of North Mississippi Health Services’ ambulatory outreach laboratory business and become a referral laboratory for its seven hospitals and clinic laboratories.

Through this acquisition, North Mississippi Health Services’ patients and providers will have continuity of high-quality laboratory services and access to Labcorp’s leading clinical laboratory services, robust data and digital tools. In addition, Labcorp will open three new patient service centers in Tupelo, West Point and Amory by mid-year to increase availability of laboratory services in North Mississippi.

Both organizations have been working together to implement a smooth transition focused on maintaining continuity of services for patients, hospitals, physicians and clients, while providing direct access to the additional capabilities of Labcorp. 

This acquisition follows other strategic agreements and relationships that Labcorp has established with a range of local and regional health systems that have enhanced services for patients and providers.
